Delete your account
How to delete your Ghost Detail account and the data linked to it, from the app or by email.
Applies to: the Ghost Detail apps (iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, Android, Wear OS) and the website, published by Hectic Software for Ghost Detail Autos.
In the app
- Open Ghost Detail and sign in.
- Go to Account (on iPhone and Android it is under More).
- Tap Delete my account and confirm.
The same option is on the website under Your account.
By email
If you cannot sign in, email ghostdetaillondon@gmail.com from the address on your account with the subject “Delete my account”. We may ask you to confirm the request before we delete anything.
What is deleted
- Your account and email address
- Signed-in sessions on every device
- Saved cars and coating records linked to your account
- The link between your account and any Ghost Pass membership
- Your Sign in with Apple connection, if you used it
What is kept, and for how long
Booking and payment records are kept for 6 years because HMRC requires it. After deletion they are no longer linked to an account. Deleting your account does not cancel a Ghost Pass subscription: cancel it first with Manage membership in the app, or email us.
