The Short Answer
Without ceramic coating: professional detail every 3–4 months. With Nano Banana ceramic: maintenance wash every 6–8 weeks, professional top-up annually.
Without Ceramic Coating
An uncoated car needs more frequent professional attention because there's no protective layer between the paint and the environment. Here's the schedule we recommend:
- Every 4–6 weeks: Maintenance wash (our Spark Wash, £79)
- Every 3–4 months: Quick Refinement — decontamination and machine polish
- Annually: Full correction and paint protection reapplication
With Nano Banana Ceramic Coating
Ceramic coating significantly reduces maintenance requirements because the hydrophobic layer repels contaminants before they bond to the paint:
- Every 6–8 weeks: pH-neutral maintenance wash (hand wash only — never automatic)
- Every 6 months: Ceramic refresh check and top-up spray
- Annually: Full maintenance detail to maintain warranty
Seasonal Considerations
Winter (October–March) is the most damaging period for UK car paint. Road salt is highly corrosive and bonds to paint quickly. We recommend a pre-winter full decontamination and a ceramic top-up in October, and a post-winter correction in March to remove any salt damage.
